3. Abigail3 Willard (Samuel2, Simon1); born 5 July 1665 at Groton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts;14 married Rev. Benjamin Estabrook 29 November 1694 (Benjamin was "of Lexington");21,14 married Rev. Samuel Treat, son of Governor Robert Treat, 29 August 1700;14 died 27 December 1746 at age 81.15

Rev. Benjamin Estabrook was born on 24 February 1671 at Lexington, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.15 He died in July 1697 at age 26.15,14

There were no known children of Abigail3 Willard and Rev. Benjamin Estabrook.

Rev. Samuel Treat was born circa 1648 at Eastham, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts, (calculated from age at death: "aet. sixty-nine").15,14 He died on 18 March 1717.15

The two known children of Abigail3 Willard and Rev. Samuel Treat were as follows:

5. Mary3 Willard (Samuel2, Simon1); born 10 October 1669 at Groton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts;14 she and David Melville's Marriage Intention was published 25 June 1696;14 died 2 August 1723 at age 53.14

David Melville married Mary Mills, as his 2nd wife and her 2nd husband, on 29 November 1723 . (Mary's first husband was the uncle of David's first wife).22,23

The two known children of Mary3 Willard and David Melville were as follows:

6. Major John3 Willard (Samuel2, Simon1); born 8 September 1673 at Groton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts;24 married Frances Sherburne circa 1703 (Frances was "of Jamaica");15,25 died circa 1731 (his wife survived him at least ten years).15,24

He can be found as WFA Genealogy #18 in the 1915 Willard Genealogy.25

Frances Sherburne died on 25 October 1741 at Kingston, Jamaica, a widow.25

The four known children of Major John3 Willard and Frances Sherburne all born Kingston, Jamaica, were as follows:

8. Simon3 Willard (Samuel2, Simon1); born 6 December 1676 after the destruction of Groton, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts;16,26 married Elizabeth Alden, daughter of Captain John Alden and Elizabeth Phillips, 30 April 1702;27 died circa 1712.26

He can be found as WFA Genealogy #19 in the 1915 Willard Genealogy.25

Elizabeth Alden was born on 9 April 1665.27 She married John Walley Jr.28

The four known children of Simon3 Willard and Elizabeth Alden all born Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts, were as follows:

Josiah3 Willard (Samuel2, Simon1); born 21 June 1681 at Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts;30 married Katherine Allen, daughter of Daniel Allen and Mariana Lynde, 24 October 1715;28 married Mrs. Hannah Clarke, as his 2nd wife, 7 April 1726;28 died circa 1750 at Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts.30

He can be found as WFA Genealogy #20 in the 1915 Willard Genealogy.28

Katherine Allen was born on 18 February 1685 at Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts.16,28 She died on 1 August 1725 at age 40.28

The six known children of Josiah3 Willard and Katherine Allen all born Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts, were as follows:

Mrs. Hannah Clarke was born circa 1685 (as calculated from her age at death: "in her eighty-second year").18 She died on 28 July 1766.18,28
