2. Joseph² Willard (Simon¹); born 4 January 1660/61 at Lancaster, Worcester Co., Massachusetts;¹⁶^,¹⁷ died between 1714 and 23 June 1721.¹⁶^,¹⁸

He can be found as WFA Genealogy #9 in the 1915 Willard Genealogy.¹⁸ He was a sea captain.¹⁸ Joseph Willard resided at London, England.¹⁸ He left a will before 1721 bequeathing his share of the Rutland Township, inherited from his father Major Simon Willard, to his sole heir and son, John Willard.¹⁸

The only known child of Joseph² Willard and an unknown spouse was:

3. i. John³ Willard; born circa 1702 at London, England;¹⁹ married Mary Eustis 24 July 1723 at Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts.²⁰

He can be found as WFA Genealogy #36 in the 1915 Willard Genealogy.²⁰ He inherited part of the Rutland Township via the will of Joseph Willard before 1721.¹⁸ On 23 June 1721 John Willard sold one half of his share in the Rutland township.²⁰ John Willard sold the other half of his share in the Rutland township to an unknown person 25 May 1723 in Worcester Co., Massachusetts.²⁰
